It all started with a gift

Our story is a testament to the truth that small things, little acts of kindness, can change the world.

OUR STORY

Notes of Eden Seed Cards was founded by Florence Craig, (a Minnesota artist, illustrator, and Master Gardener) when her woodworker and tech-guru husband James gave her a surprise gift of a professional printer. This, combined with her discovery of seed paper, sparked a creative whirlwind from which our business was born.

Since our first test-prints, we've curated a vibrant collection of eco-friendly watercolor plantable seed cards, welcomed our graphic designer friend Daniel Hoopes to the dream team, started making our own wood card displays, and spread to stores all over the Twin Cities—from small garden shops to Kowalski's, and everything in-between.

When James proposed the name “Notes of Eden”, everything fell into place. Eden is the epitome of our ideal home—a flourishing garden-haven of harmony between man, God, and nature. “Notes” not only signifies notecards but also evokes musical or olfactory notes. Our hope and prayer for Notes of Eden is that each card would carry a whisper of wholeness, a memory of simple goodness, an echo of hope—that each and every one of these handmade cards would be a small vehicle of blessing and encouragement and bring a little more of Eden to this broken, precious world.

Notes of Eden is a labor of love that combines artistry, sustainability, and the miracle of life in every seed card.

And it all began with one gift—a gift that keeps on giving.

Thank you for joining us on this adventure!

Meet the Team!

We are a fun-loving team of three young creatives who are never happier than when we're covered with paint, ink, soil, or sawdust!
